steamsounds in the Severn Valley

Many would describe the Severn Valley Railway as one of the premier preserved railways in the UK and I would be more than happy to agree.
Without a doubt, the railway has a fine and varied selection of motive power and the passenger rolling stock, including many pre-nationalisation examples, is second to none. Add some very atmospheric stations, pleasant scenery and you can easily see why the line is so popular.
Hopefully,
these 27 recordings with a playing time of almost 80 minutes will give the listener a taste of just what makes the railway special.

The CD comes complete with detailed notes which you can read here. You'll need Adobe Reader which you can download for free here.
