steamsounds on the North Yorkshire Moors

There are many who would name the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as there favourite and these 17 recordings with a playing time of almost 80 minutes may give an idea of why!
While you can't see the excellent scenery you can certainly hear the noise as 13 hard working locos are heard both from the lineside and on train on the steep gradients that are a feature of this railway.
Highlights are a fast & noisy climb to Goathland with Dame Vera Lynn, an atmospheric recording of trains crossing at Levisham and a train on the 1 in 49 in a thunderstorm!
