steamsounds - Riding behind GWR steam

Castles & Kings

Ask a sound recordist which railway company in the UK had the noisiest engines and I can be fairly confident that the answer will be, 'The Great Western'!
This CD contains 9 tracks with a playing time of almost 80 minutes. All the tracks were recorded on-train riding behind GWR Castles and Kings on ex Great Western routes from the Welsh Marches to the South Devon banks. Great Western locos are noisy at the best of times but these recordings are among my noisiest!
The CD comes complete with detailed notes which you can read
here. You'll need Adobe Reader which you can download for free here.

Available at just £5.00 including UK postage. To obtain details of how to get a copy or for any further information please see this page.
