steamsounds - Riding behind steam

46229 Duchess of Hamilton

Back in the 1980s and early 90s there was one loco that, given the right conditions, could almost be guaranteed to produce outstanding performances every time it ventured out on the main line. That loco was Duchess of Hamilton and on this CD you'll find 7 tracks playing for almost 80 minutes featuring some of the more memorable runs that I had with this tremendous loco. As you will see, there are recordings from the S&C, a high speed climb in the Chiltern Hills, some memorable sounds from SSE runs and my own personal, unforgettable favourite, 46229's first time on Shap.
The CD comes complete with detailed notes which you can read
